The Bulgarian Bag has been around from about 2005 and has already made a huge impact. Originally developed for Olympic Greco-Roman wrestlers by the Ivan Invanov, the bag has a wide range of exercises including anything you could do with a shoulder-loaded barbell.
I really enjoy teaching my clients how to use it (in the right & careful way) as it provides a total body workout. So for me, the Bulgarian Bag the must have piece of training equipment.
The benefits of working out with a Bulgarian Bag are vast, it helps strengthen and increase your muscle endurance from your arms and wrists to your legs and back. It is available in five different weights, but it’s recommended you choose a Bulgarian Bag that’s best suited to your current strength and overall athletic ability.
The day after a Bulgarian Bag training session you may be a little sore in every bone of your body! (in a good way of course!). Like with all training, your technique needs to be good unless you want to cause more harm than good.
